Definitely a blog of note

This credit is long overdue.

One of the sources of inspiration when I decided to start blogging, was the ChristianPF blog. It has a post on how to make money with a blog (this lovely link will take you there :-) and it was very inspiring to read.

This man decided to mix personal finance with Christianity which is a very intriguing idea and just shows that when you work at something you are passionate about, the rewards show themselves. He managed to make a living out of blogging after starting out where many bloggers are: unknown and completely new at the process, but through perseverance, trial and error and just being excited about the process, he did it!

Totally a role-model of note.
Why not make money out of something you love if you can?

Blogging Paranoia

WOW! I am 100 percent good at getting into catch-22 situations. wow, wow, wow. It was my intention not to release my identity but with the whole "networked blogs" on Facebook, I'm realising how hard this will be. Indeed, paranoia IS my middle name. You know what? Making your identity known may be a good thing after all.. although I was planning not to have people I know see my inner-self... but you have to get out there. I've been wetting my feet in the ocean and now I'm close to diving right in!!!

Does anyone else have stories to share about being scared of showing your identity to the world? I mean, not everyone in the world is a gummy bear. You will get some sour sherbets along the way, who may tag YOU as a sour sherbet and think you should be two sour sherbets together in a candy shop...

So, what is "networked blogs" on facebook?
* it is probably a great way to meet like-minded bloggers
* (and virtual blogger-friends)
* it is a way of putting your blog out there and getting readers
* It has a sense of, I'm [name] and I wrote this... and I follow this... so 'like' me ;)
* a bunch of blogs, networked together that obviously links to your Facebook account and most people share a lot more personal information on Facebook than, say, Blogger.

Oh well, maybe this is **Super silly**  although it's always good to be cautious.

Help!

“when I was younger so much younger than today, I never needed anybody’s help in any way.. but now these days are gone and I'm not so self assured...”
Help! By The Beatles

One thing that may be my downfall, is my reliance on the false notion of inspiration. I hover about in the causeway between mediocre writing (and art) and good writing (and art).
The reason?
I’m waiting for a great idea. I want something to fall out of the sky and inspire me to write something good.
Lately, however, I’ve been realising that I think too much and put very little into action. Thus, my thoughts become a muddle of contradictions and actions become harder to take.

I used  to be able to write poetry, and now it feels as if there is nothing left.
Have my brain cells left the building?
Was it just a phase I was going through?
Is rhyme with no reason a good start or a dead end?

Starting a new blog (and a new life?)

Wow, I honestly never anticipated starting a blog in my lifetime. But I have had a light of inspiration shone in my eyes and I decided to fly with it. What harm can it do, right?

So, what better than to blog about life. We all live it, and we were all put on this earth in similar ways. Ok, so some may have been born in water; through c-sections or have even started in a test tube. The bottom line is that nobody is born knowing exactly what to do with their lives. We all need a little inspiration and patience... (are you getting where the blog got its url?) Maybe a bit on the cheesy side but I've always liked cheese.

Maybe through time, this blog will develop an identity of its own but it's starting on the human side and is much like me: in the dark. Winding through what life has handed me, I will share things that have inspired me, things that I have learnt from and what I think life is. What would be ten times better is if I could chat to people about it and we can all share our experiences and above all, learn to live.
